Two plush toys can look identical in a photo and differ threefold in cost. The difference is in things a photo cannot show: whether the pile is cut or looped, whether the fabric is dyed or printed, whether the filling is siliconised, how many stitch density steps the pattern uses, and whether the seam allowance is trimmed by hand. Those choices decide whether the toy still looks new after six months on a shelf and a year in a child’s bed — and they are the first thing a value-engineered quote quietly removes.
